missingWrote a review on Jan 04amenitiestemperature
the bathroom lacked basic amenities like body wash, which is practically standard nowadays. and the room was freezing, with no heating controls. I would’ve expected a complimentary upgrade for enduring such discomfort but, alas, the generous hosts seem to be too busy. I’m so disappointed I can’t even think of leaving a good review. absoluteley scandalous!

The location was incredibly convenient, close to local shops.
I faced significant issues with the noise from other guests, which made resting difficult. The floorboards creaked loudly, waking me up during the night. the absence of basic amenities like shower gel made the experience less comfortable than expected.

The fish at the local spot was simply divine! the beds were super comfortable and everything was clean, making it feel like a home away from home.
The noise from the other guests was a bit much—imagine a herd of elephants stomping around at 4:30am! Not ideal after a long drive!

large kitchen, convenient location, ample parking
WiFi connection unreliable!!! Shower shelf needed for toiletries!!! Door lock difficult to use in haste!!! Small sink limits space for personal items!!! Clearer direction signage outside would help guests find the place easier!!!

Family accommodation ideal for comfort
I gotta say, the hosts were incredibly nice, always on hand to help, made us feel right at home. The bathroom and shower room were huge and kept clean every day, perfect after coming back from a tiring outing.
It wasn’t inexpensive, but you get what you pay for, and it was okay.

missingWrote a review on Jul 28great locationaccessible shopsnoisy environmentpoor amenitiesdisruptive floors
The location is convenient, with easy access to shops and a train station. the noise from other guests and creaky floorboards significantly disrupted sleep, making it hard to relax. Basic amenities were lacking. for instance, the kettle was in poor condition, and there were no mirrors at a usable height. While the potential is evident, addressing these issues could greatly enhance the experience.

Great value and a cozy stay!
I loved how welcoming the owners were, and the family room had enough space for everyone. A handy power point by the bed for charging devices. The shortcut to Armadale station made it easy to get into Edinburgh quickly without breaking the bank. it would be great to have a shelf in the shower room for toiletries since the sink is a bit small.

It was just a commendable fit for a hurried visit in Bathgate with decent value for money. I appreciated the genuine welcome upon arrival and quick room access. For a smoother experience, it’s a good idea to confirm the check-in details beforehand.

Family friendly cozy escape
The hosts were warm, just like the temperature of the room in the cold weather. After a busy day, returning to a clean space with fluffy pillows was like a relief, made every moment of the stay nice.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but the experience made it worth the cost.
